Rewinding to my younger days, I was shrouded in a perplexing fog of self-doubt. Continuously finding myself standing at the intersection of the gender binary and the spectrum of sexuality, I felt lost. My cultural background didn't make it easier either. The societal norms in Japan are not starkly different from others when it comes to gender and sexual identity – skeptical understanding, tight lips, and discreet whispers at best. Amidst the confusion, one thing was clear; I had to build my confidence. To stand tall in my ambiguity, owning my identity despite odds or offensive opinions.
Fast forward to now, that journey paved the way for my profession as a massage therapist. This job, if nothing else, introduces you to the unadulterated, primal sides of human existence. Every client is a mystery - a new story - and every massage subtly peels back layers, revealing bits of the world I've yet to understand. The rawness is addictive, peering into these quiet stories of discomfort and relief, watching narratives unfold beneath my hands. The strings of mystery pulled in every direction, weaving complex tales of humanity onto the canvas of my mind – the experiences as real and stark as a hyperlink that promises "No BS, just links."
Life's a journey of constant evolution. I'm still growing, still learning, still unwrapping the mysteries that make us who we are. But amidst it all, I believe in embracing who you are, steadfastly and confidently, without fear of judgement or ostracization. After all, authentic lives aren't camouflaged in falsehood, they're resplendent in their truth – no BS, just links. |
